Layne ("Monsta") Bellamy II was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in Oakland, California before returning to the Twin Cities
at age 9. Layne graduated from the High School for Recording Arts in 2004. Since graduation, Layne has worked for
Studio 4 as an engineering and ProTools instructor as well as coordinator for studio A. Layne has worked on several
projects in conjunction with HSRA and Studio 4 including "HIV Still Ain't No Joke",
"U Have the Right", and
"Looks Deceive You".
