Another Level Records and the High School for Recording Arts reach out to youth in Detroit
As part of a recent reissue of the acclaimed "U Have The Right" CD, Verizon Wireless along with Radio One, Inc./WDTJ 105.9 JAMZ
and Detroit Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick released a statement to support their common program purpose: To educate youth about teen dating
violence. That is why we have collaborated to bring this CD to metro Detroit youth.
In support of this project, Charles "Spudd" Spence, of WDTJ JAMZ of Radio One stated, "[v]iolence is for the weak of mind and will.
Rappers and poets use their hands to pick up mics and pens, doctors use their hands to save lives. Be smart, don't ball up your fists
to solve problems, use your intellect and communicate. You are our future."
Verizon Wireless again thanked Another Level Records and the High School for Recording Arts students and staff who made this project possible.
