Another Level Records (http://www.anotherlevelrecords.com) is a student operated record label that allows learners to explore the operations of the music industry first hand as they discover and record new artists, negotiate contracts, publish and copyright new music. They also manufacture, market and distribute recording projects completed by HSRA students as well as other artists. In addition to providing insight into the music industry, students participating in this program also gain valuable entrepreneurial skills necessary in starting their own businesses. ALR has released two CD's of HSRA student work and will release two more recordings this spring: "HIV Still Ain't No Joke", with material on the theme of HIV/AIDS prevention, and HSRA 2002, a second compilation of HSRA students' work.

Musictech College of Music and Recording Arts (http://www.musictech.edu), which just opened its new $3.6 million, 60,000-square-foot school in downtown Saint Paul, draws 250 music students from across the U.S. and overseas. Founded in 1985, Musictech offers degree programs encompassing guitar, bass, keyboards, voice, percussion, brass and woodwinds and motion imaging, as well as recording technology, music production and the music business. One hundred full and part-time faculty and staff with real-world experience in the music business teach in a state-of-the-art facility including 10,000 square feet of recording studios and digital laboratories, music library, and a 300-seat auditorium. The Governor's broadcast will take place in Musictech's 8,000-square-foot student commons area, the site of informal performances by student ensembles.
